William Levy (born William Levy Gutiérrez) was born on August 29, 1980 in Cojimar, Havana Cuba. He is the oldest of four siblings. He and his family immigrated to Miami before his 15th birthday. He attended Barbara Goleman Senior High where he continued to pursue his childhood pasion: baseball. Then, he went onto college to study Business Administration on an athletic scholarship. He dropped out of college after two years to study acting in Los Angeles; he later also took acting classes in Miami and Mexico City (CEA, Televisa). He took his mother's maiden name (Levy) as his last name to launch his acting career.
